After March 31, Jio will be provide paid service, says Mukesh Ambani. But Jio will offer the most affordable rates for any users, he says. Mukesh Ambani  also says that lots of new plans have been launched by other telecoms company  and that has created a lot of confusion. But with Jio, he says, there is no confusion. After March 31, Jio will match each and every plan that other operators are offering or will offer at the same rate but with 20 per cent more data.
Update: Jio has more than 2X 4G base stations compared to the combined capacity of all other operators in India. "We plan to double this in the coming months and will offer Jio coverage to 99 per cent Indians," says Ambani.

Update:  Ambani says "With Jio it is my promise that we will provide World class quantity and quality of data at prices that are affordable,"  "You have shown that India can adopt the digital life," says Ambani. He wants India to be among the top 5 countries in terms of broadband connectivity
Update: "For over 170 days Jio has added 7 customers in every seconds." This is unprecedented for any technology company in the world, says Ambani.

Update: "My fellow Indians and my 100 million Jio users..." starts Ambani. He confirms that Jio has crossed 100 million users.
Jio has large plans for future. Firstly it has to start the paid service, which is something that Ambani may talk about today. Then there is the big Jio plan for the future Jio Fibre, which is going to be a wired internet service. Jio is already testing now the Fibre in most areas of Mumbai & comes with the free service for the first 3 months. Then there are plans around the content services and apps. Just yesterday Jio tied up with Uber for JioMoney a wallet app. Just like WhatsApp that can be used from inside Uber app to pay for rides, Uber users will now be able to do the same with the JioMoney app.
Jio SIM is available publicly and for free since September 5 last year. Initially the service of Jio was good. But then large number of people joined the network and the extra load made the service slow. The 4G speed of Jio went down. But after the Happy New Year rolled out with its 1GB per day limit of fair use policy (FUP), the service has improved. The speed, although not blazing fast, is more consistent.
